I have an almost identical piece. How did you date it?
The Imperial Japanese Navy destroyed 8 out of ten warships of the Chinese Beiyang Fleet off the mouth of the Yalu River on 17 September 1894. The model would have been made prior to this when the fleet was still afloat and the Chinese were proud of it
