UNUSUAL CHINESE VASE



A large and unusual Xianfeng Chinese vase, baluster form with collared neck and everted lip, applied dragons around the shoulder, decorative "foo dog" handles on the neck, and a famille rose motif of figures in martial and other official garb. The scenes likely are based on the Chinese literary classic "Romance of the Three Kingdoms." with later late 19th century over painting or "clobbering" 24 inches high
