RARE TAURANGA SPORTS CLUB BADGE
Tauranga Sports Club badge in sterling silver designed by Major General Horatio Gordon Robley and executed by Wellington silversmiths Littlejohn and Sons, Ca 1900, depicting Tomileo Te Mutu of Tauranga and mentioned in a letter from Robley to Horace Fildes, see excerpt from letter below.This is an exceedingly rare and unique item which incorporates the work of one of New Zealands' most colorful and distinguished artists and the skill of one of New Zealands well known colonial silversmiths, Littlejohn and Sons of Wellington. Measures 35mm x 12.5mm
